The course is an in-depth quantitative investigation and descriptive study of the relationship between matter and energy. Instruction focuses on linear motion, trajectory motion, rotational motion, force, work, mechanical energy, heat, sound and light. Each of these topics is broken down and analyzed using experimental and mathematical techniques. Working knowledge of Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry and basic Trigonometry is expected. Students are expected to complete individual and collaborative assignments/projects and laboratory experiments.
