Mrs. Barra has twelve years of education experience and is excited to be back in a high school setting – especially somewhere that she has the opportunity to grow in her faith in her daily interactions with staff and students. A native of Peoria, IL, Mrs. Barra grew up loving everything about school! She was blessed with amazing educators who instilled a deep love of learning in her, and she wanted to share that love with her students. She also hopes to encourage her students to be life long learners. Outside of school, Mrs. Barra loves being a mom, gardening, sewing, watching her kids play sports, and reading. A fun fact about Mrs. Barra is that in college, she won a radio contest for a trip to London to meet Justin Timberlake before seeing him in concert!
