Biography

Mr. Cummings, a 1973 graduate of The Spalding Institute, is entering his 30th year as a PND educator. His favorite part of teaching at PND is watching the students grow educationally, religiously, and athletically. Mr. Cummings is speaking from experience: though he was “considered shy and reserved growing up” and did not originally run track, the students know him today as their much-loved co-head coach of the girls track team. It was Mr. Cummings’ love of history and what it teaches us when we listen that drew him into education, and his involvement in Catholic education that helped develop his prayer life. Outside of school, Mr. Cummings enjoys spending time with family, reading, exercising, watching sports, and visiting with friends.
