Mike Plunkett

Interim Dean of Students / St. Jude Club Moderator

Favorite Quote: “Some people are born on third base and go through life acting like they hit a triple.” – Barry Switzer, former football coach

A native of Peoria, IL who has almost forty years of expertise in the public education field, PND was lucky enough to have Mr. Plunkett come to our school four years ago. He began coaching right after high school and discovered a love for working with kids. Combined with his love for sports, he became an AD and from there an AP and building principal. He has enjoyed getting to know the students, families, and coworkers at PND, as well as growing in his faith through daily prayer. When not moderating St. Jude Club or cracking jokes in sophomore hall, Mr. Plunkett enjoys walking, watching sporting events, and most importantly, spending time with his granddaughter. He is a strong supporter of St. Jude, having participated in the St. Jude Memphis to Peoria Run 19 times, three of those times after receiving a heart transplant in 2016.
