To kick off the study of the world of jazz, Ms. McClintock’s Modern Music class is exploring the magic of “The Princess and the Frog”. They are analyzing the use of different instruments, tempos, and meters. The students also identified elements of blues and bluegrass music, two genres that impacted the development of jazz, from the movie soundtrack.

Ms. Scott’s AP Government class took a twist and headed to the gym on Monday! Seniors Ella Coulter, Joaquin Hoeft, Katie Kube, and Rosemary Whitten campaigned as candidates for president of the Shamrock Party in their party’s primary. The different dodgeballs corresponded to mudslinging, SuperPAC donations, campaign contributions, and the “October Surprise” phenomenon! According to student reporter, Brigid Dooley, “Joaquin Hoeft’s campaign reigned victorious!”
