The course covers the topics taught in 245 Algebra II but in more depth. Instruction focuses on theory, structure, the complex number system, sequences and series, conic sections, matrices, and logarithms. Students are expected to demonstrate their proficiency in algebraic and geometric concepts. Students are expected to have their own scientific calculator for use in this course. The math faculty recommends the TI 84 family of calculators.

Prerequisites

A grade of A- or higher in 220 Algebra I or a grade of A- or higher in 235 Geometry or a grade of C+ or higher in 240 Geometry (H). An academic course review will be conducted to determine student’s academic placement. Course satisfies a requirement for graduation.
