The kickoff “Salt & Light” prayer event was held today with our whole school community as part of Catholic Schools Week! “Salt & Light,” inspired by Matthew 5:13-14, will continue once a month. The event included Adoration and prayer, reflection, a wonderful speaker, and a call to action: How are you going to authentically and genuinely witness the faith and support those around you?
Sr. Agnes Paulina, our speaker today, gave an amazing talk on prayer and the assurance that God always holds us in the palm of His hand. She ended her talk by saying, “And so I encourage you to abide with Jesus and waste time with him in adoration and hear him say to you the words he said to Thomas the Apostle: ‘Do not be unbelieving, but believe.’ And that’s even if 1000 times a day we have to say: ‘Lord, help my unbelief.’ And I’m sure that he’ll respond by saying: ‘Be healed. Your faith has saved you.'”
