A native of Champaign, IL, Ms. Pinheiro joined the PND family nine years ago. Interestingly, she originally applied to be campus minister, after not seeing herself as a teacher. However, God had a specific plan for her as she was hired to teach Latin and theology! At PND, Ms. Pinheiro has deepened in her sacramental life and loves being part of a supportive faith community. Her other favorite parts of PND are the amazing students and the easy access to Mass and Confession. She also enjoys sharing knowledge about her favorite saint, St. Athanasius. In 2018, she fulfilled a lifelong goal and made a pilgrimage to Venice to see his tomb. When not at school, Ms. Pinheiro enjoys spending time with her greyhounds, crossword puzzles, logic games, and reading.
