PND 2021 alum and former AP Capstone student Olivia Swearingen Ludolph was honored with having her AP Research paper published in the Journal of Student Research, High School Edition last November. Olivia’s paper, titled “Unwarranted Partisanship: An Exploration of Presidents’ Political Rhetoric in SOTU Addresses” analyzed the partisanship of United States presidents for a 54 year period between 1966 and 2020. During her participation in the Capstone program at PND, Olivia utilized context analysis of State of the Union addresses, frequency charts, and a two-way ANOVA test to conduct her research and formulate her article.
