Congratulations to Mr. Brandon Cheney, our new Head Coach for scholastic bowl! Mr. Cheney, a graduate of Wheaton College, is excited to take on the scholastic bowl coaching role at PND.
He is a former Assistant State’s Attorney and currently a substitute teacher.
Mr. Cheney, a previous scholastic bowl team captain from 2002-03, is happy for the opportunity to be of service to the community and share his knowledge with students.
Outside of school, Mr. Cheney participates in community theater at Corn Stock!
We also want to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to Mr. Mulcahey for his ten years as scholastic bowl head coach!
Under his leadership, the team has been 2x regional champions and 2x PAL champions, with last year’s team finishing with a 35-10 record overall!
Mr. Mulcahey said that he is very thankful to all the players and their parents for making his coaching experience so great, a lot of people behind-the-scenes who made it all possible, and to the scholastic bowl community at-large for all the great memories.
We are blessed with such great leaders in our extracurriculars and athletics, and we can’t wait for scholastic bowl season!
