Health Club Visitor

PND’s Health Club had a fantastic visitor yesterday. We had Dr. Julia Adams (PND class of 2001) in to talk to our students about the life of a pathologist.
Dr. Adams had some great insight to share with our students about what a pathologist does, how she came about becoming a pathologist, and other career avenues you could explore in this field.
She talked about what pathologists do which includes but is not limited to analysis of tissue under a microscope, overseeing lab testing, and performing organ dissections and autopsies.
She gave the students various scenarios on how to diagnose cancer, auto-immune disease, and infections.
The students really enjoyed the talk and gained some valuable knowledge on how they can have a successful career in a hospital laboratory.
Thank you Dr. Adams for your time and insight.
