Two faculty recently received PNC grants for classroom learning projects. Sister Agnes Paulina was awarded nearly $1,000 to expand the Project Lead The Way. The grant allows PLTW biomedical pathway students to study environmental health and toxicology. Sister Agnes Paulina’s Human Body Systems class presented various body functions to each other, how to test for irregularities, and diseases associated with abnormalities. Then they practiced testing each of the functions including blood pressure, vision, smell, reflexes, temperature, and oxygen levels. Many of these students are on the biomedical pathway through the Project Lead the Way program at PND and are contemplating careers in healthcare.Read More
