Anchor Club is holding a drive for the homeless and are asking people to donate nonperishable items and things like scarves, mittens/gloves, soap, hats, toothbrushes and toothpaste, and anything that could be put in a bag and give to homeless people. Boxes will be put near the front office at school to drop off any of the items. We greatly appreciate your willingness to give, especially during this Christmas season!

Two faculty recently received PNC grants for classroom learning projects. Sister Agnes Paulina was awarded nearly $1,000 to expand the Project Lead The Way. The grant allows PLTW biomedical pathway students to study environmental health and toxicology. Along with conducting a series of experiments to test and handle toxins in the environment, the unit will culminate with students creating a health profile and action plan for the local community. Sister Agnes Paulina’s Human Body Systems class presented various body functions to each other, how to test for irregularities, and diseases associated with abnormalities. Then they practiced testing each of the functions including blood pressure, vision, smell, reflexes, temperature, and oxygen levels. Many of these students are on the biomedical pathway through the Project Lead the Way program at PND and are contemplating careers in healthcare.
