Events and activities for Catholic Schools Week the past two days included All School Mass, throat blessings for the Feast of St. Blaise (which is tomorrow, 2/3/24), Phone Free Friday fun including rosary-making in Sr. Catherine Thomas’s classroom, and an awesome cereal bar during advisory on Thursday! Students in Introduction to Literature practiced the Question Formation Technique using some famous Norman Rockwell paintings. Freshmen viewed a painting as a table and wrote down “I notice” statements that evolved into “I wonder” statements that then evolved into questions. By looking at the paintings multiple times and working with their tables, students were able to develop more in-depth questions inspired by a single painting.Read More
