To kick off the study of the world of jazz, Ms. McClintock’s Modern Music class is exploring the magic of “The Princess and the Frog”. They are analyzing the use of different instruments, tempos, and meters. Ms. Scott’s AP Government class took a twist and headed to the gym on Monday! Seniors Ella Coulter, Joaquin Hoeft, Katie Kube, and Rosemary Whitten campaigned as candidates for president of the Shamrock Party in their party’s primary. The different dodgeballs corresponded to mudslinging, SuperPAC donations, campaign contributions, and the “October Surprise” phenomenon! Thank you all for the support of the PND Christmas Basket Drive! It was an extremely successful three weeks that culminated in the packing and sorting of 335 boxes with 40+ items in each box including bread and fresh fruit. The boxes were distributed to St. Vincent de Paul Society, Sophia’s Kitchen, and Bishop O’Rourke Renaissance Stand. An additional 4,000 items were donated to local parish food pantries! Junior Jake Heberer led the way for the Irish with a second place finish in the 200 free, 8th place in the 500 free, and was on 2 relays with freshman Chase Mohrman, freshman Teddy Showalter, and junior Reese Welker that placed 8th.
