This course is a study of the history of the Catholic Church from its early tribulations to the present seen as a part of Salvation History, God’s work among His people. Instruction focuses on the history of the Church as the embodiment of Christ’s Incarnation in history and culture. The course stresses the contribution of our Catholic faith to civilization, as seen variously in art, architecture, music, letters, etc. Students are expected to complete individual and collaborative assignments and projects.
