Engineering Design and Development (EDD) is an engineering research course in which students work in teams to design and develop an original solution to a valid open-ended technical problem by applying the engineering design process. Finally, student teams will present and defend their original solution to an outside panel. It is a high school level course that is appropriate for 12th grade students and is meant to be the capstone course of the Project Lead the Way math, science, engineering, and technology partnership.

This course is a Project Lead the Way course but is open to all students.

Prerequisites

A grade of C+ or higher in 285 Introduction to Engineering Design (H), and a grade of C+ or higher in 280 Principles of Engineering (H).
