The course is a continuation of the study of the French language and culture on a beginning-intermediate level. Instruction focuses on more detailed vocabulary, with grammatical structure, cultural understanding, and an introduction to French literature. Listening and oral skills are enhanced by the use of available technologies. Students are expected to demonstrate greater proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing French. Placement in French II for freshmen is based on passing the French I proficiency test.

Prerequisites

A grade of B or higher in 410 French II.
