This course is a continuation of the study of French at the advanced level. Instruction focuses on students being able to develop an understanding of the customs, arts, literature, history and geography associated with French culture. Students are expected to investigate significant areas of contemporary French society: the concerns of young people, the role of the family and women, changes in the social class structure, urbanization, the legal system, French theater, literature, cinema and music, and communication and the media.

Prerequisites

A grade of C+ or higher in 425 French IV (H).
