The course is a study of the history and development of music from the Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, and Romantic Periods, leading into Contemporary art music. Instruction includes listening, reading and researching musical composers and styles. Students are expected to complete individual and collaborative projects and assignments. Worksheets and other activities are completed online as part of the textbook. Other online resources are available to students as well.

None. Course satisfies a Fine Art requirement for graduation.
