he course introduces students to fundamental scientific concepts of matter and energy as they relate to chemistry and physics. Instruction includes the study of the following topics:  atoms, chemical reactions, the Periodic Table, density, gravitation, motion, force, energy, heat, machines, waves, sound, light, electricity, and magnetism. Students are expected to learn to observe, collect, and organize information from experiments. They construct models to explain how microscopic principles explain macroscopic phenomena. They then analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions in their individual and collaborative assignments/projects and laboratory experiments.

Prerequisites

Completion of 325 Biology. Course satisfies a requirement for graduation.
