The course is an introduction to the Spanish language and culture. Instruction includes the study of basic vocabulary and grammar and its use in oral and written forms. Audio cassettes/CDs, videos/DVDs, and computer software are used to supplement instruction. Students are expected to acquire beginner level proficiency in listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in Spanish. Catholic prayers are introduced in Spanish.
