This class focuses on the Earth’s changing climate and the relationship between climate, weather, and the oceans that cover 71% of the planet. The differences between long-term climate patterns and short-term weather phenomena are clarified. Students analyze data to identify possible sources of climate change and the dynamics involved in the interactions of the Earth’s atmosphere, ocean temperatures and currents, biological systems, geological phenomena, and human activity.
