The course is a survey of world literature including short stories, poetry, novels, drama, and nonfiction. Emphasis is on the exploration and discussion of human and moral qualities revealed through literature. Instruction in student writing continues through the ordered sequence of rhetorical, literary, and personal essays, including a research project.
