From concept to completion, PND students in Sr. Jude Andrew’s Winterim Quilting class handmade a beautiful keepsake quilt just for the 2026 Blue and Green Gala: PND Goes for Gold! With the support and mentorship of Peoria’s quilting guild, the Gems of the Prairie, students collaborated on every design decision – from color and layout, border choice, a pieced backing, and quilting patterns. Each student worked on a block, and several collaborated on other steps. The color wash of PND blues and greens gives the disappearing nine patch a modern twist.
