Señora Robles-Lugo’s Spanish classes have been extensively preparing for today in celebration of the “Day of the Dead!” Together, the classes created an altar or “ofrenda” complete with papel picado (cut paper), flores de cempasuchil (Mexican Marigold), Alebrijes de papel(fantastical Mexican folk art sculptures), and calaveras de azúcar (sugar skulls). Spanish Club also joined in the fun on Friday with a celebration as well. What a wonderful, immersive experience for our students!
