Yesterday, parents and students from Peoria Notre Dame visited the Illinois State Capitol to ask for support of the Invest in Kids Act which will sunset at the end of 2023. The program provides more than $330 million in tuition assistance to grade school and high school students for private education as well as a tax credit to scholarship donors! During the visit, the families had the opportunity to discuss the issue with local legislator and chief budgeteer State Rep. Jehan Gordon-Booth.
