Mr. Donnelly’s senior Films class has been analyzing their first film of the year, “Almost Famous.” Yesterday, the seniors watched the scene with Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer” and talked about the difference between diegetic and non-diegetic sound. (If you’re curious, diegetic = characters hear & interact with the music | non-diegetic = music plays on the soundtrack, and characters do not hear it). They are reflecting on the power of music in their lives. Also, the class will be exploring the theme of treating others with their inherent dignity, recognizing they have been created in the image and likeness of God.
