Please join us in welcoming Mr. Steve Garnett, our new PLTW Engineering teacher!Mr. Garnett joins our staff after 50 years working at Caterpillar as a product design and development engineer! He is excited for the opportunity to share his experience with young people, and in turn, to be inspired by the talent and growth of his students. Mr. Garnett is also a farmer; he raises corn, soybeans, hay, and cattle. He is also interested in technology, especially electric propulsion, battery electric machines, solar power, wind power, and small modular nuclear power. He is also an avid PND football fan. (His son, Matt, is one of our coaches!) An interesting fact about Mr. Garnett is that he grew up in a house with no indoor plumbing and that was heated by a wood stove. He comes from a big family, being the oldest of six children, who were all under six at the time his youngest brother was born!
