We are blessed to have Mr. Sandoval’s experience as a coach and teacher at PND! Starting his sophomore year of high school, he knew he wanted to be a wrestling coach, which began his journey to teaching at NIU because in 1984, you had to be a teacher in order to coach. He was the head wrestling coach at East Peoria from 1992-2003, LaSalle-Peru High School in 2010, and at Streator High School from 2016-2019. He was an assistant wrestling coach at EPCHS from 1989-1991, LP from 2008-2009, and Streator from 2012-2015. He currently enjoys helping with the East Peoria Kid’s Club wrestling team, coaching his six-year-old grandson in his second year of wrestling! He loves to spend time with all four of his grandchildren, especially at Elevate Trampoline and Chuck E. Cheese. Also, Mr. Sandoval has been a Miami Dolphin fan since 1972 after reading a book about them when he was six. He has been to at least 20 Dolphin games throughout his life. He is enjoying working at PND and continuing to keep God in his everyday thoughts and prayers. He is truly blessed in his life!
