Laura Wiggers

Social Studies / Assistant Women's Track Coach

Favorite Quote: “You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in you.” – St. Augustine of Hippo

Biography

A native of Morton, IL, Mrs. Wiggers has taught at PND for two of her fourteen years as an educator. She went into education because she wanted to help students develop their critical thinking and writing skills to prepare for college and beyond, and one of her favorite parts of teaching is seeing how much students grow over the course of a trimester. Mrs. Wiggers loves that PND takes this mission a step further, helping students grow as a whole person: body, mind, and spirit. Faculty and staff find purpose in this mission, too, and Mrs. Wiggers says that her prayer life has been strengthened by PND’s efforts to pray as a school community and integrate prayer throughout the day. Outside of school, Mrs. Wiggers loves traveling and spending time with her husband and three children. She also enjoys cooking, though she very rarely makes a recipe more than once.
