Mrs. Ziegler is originally from Rock Island and is excited to tutor students in reading and writing at PND! Mrs. Ziegler enjoys being in an environment that lets her live her faith openly and looks forward to attending Adoration as well. She was originally inspired to enter education from figuring out ways to teach her brother, who has many special needs, new things. When Mrs. Ziegler finished her BS in education, she began by teaching first grade for the first 5 years while also completing her Masters degree. As her own family grew (she and her husband share 13 children), she has learned that every single student needs something just a little different and has utilized many different educational resources for her own children. Mrs. Ziegler enjoys working with students who need a little extra support to help them achieve their goals. When not in the classroom, Mrs. Ziegler enjoys spending time with her large family, volunteering with The Penguin Project, kayaking, visiting parks, and playing board games. A fun fact about Mrs. Ziegler: in college, she was part of the Gamma Phi Circus where she dressed up as a clown and hung from her hair!
