PNC grants for classroom learning projects

Two faculty recently received PNC grants for classroom learning projects.
Sister Agnes Paulina was awarded nearly $1,000 to expand the Project Lead The Way. The grant allows PLTW biomedical pathway students to study environmental health and toxicology. Along with conducting a series of experiments to test and handle toxins in the environment, the unit will culminate with students creating a health profile and action plan for the local community.
Art teacher Laurel Cramer received a grant of $1,000 to begin a stained glass unit in Art 1. The grant is a cross-curricular program which will educate students on how the stained glass art form connects with world religions, chemistry, and basic trade skills.
