The seniors had their class retreat on Friday! The theme for the day revolved around the Parable of the Sower (Mark 4) and the seed that bears good fruit. It was a great way to set the tone for the beginning of the year as our senior class leads their peers in the many exciting school year events, clubs, and activities.
In the morning, the students played a game with (edible) Dirt Cups and sunflower seeds. The goal was to find gummy worms (our equivalent of “good fruit”) in their cups. They also heard from speakers Fr. McShane and Sr. Jude Andrew. The students attended Mass, Adoration, and Confession. In the afternoon, the group split in half with discussion-based activities for the girls with Sr. Jude Andrew and Mrs. Conley and for the boys with Mr. Cody, Mr. Best, and Mr. Conley.
Thanks to our campus ministry team, senior teachers, and our students for a great day of reflection together!
