Despite being voted class clown by the senior class, Mr. Lyons went on to attended Illinois State University and graduated with a degree in History/Social Sciences Secondary Education in 2017. He also earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Greenville University in 2021.
Mr. Lyons teaches most of the Business classes offered at PND including Accounting, Business Law, Introduction to Business (including Dual Credit), and Personal Finance. He is the moderator of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Club and Head Coach of the Men’s Track and Field team. Mr. Lyons was married in October 2021, and the couple enjoys going on walks with their dog, cooking, and watching TV shows/movies. He is also a member of the PND alumni recreational baseball team which won the city championship last week!
Mr. Lyons said “I love teaching at PND because I have the opportunity to prepare students for the real world in the same community in which I was born and raised . Plus hopefully when my students become rich and successful, they throw a little my way.”
