Congratulations to PND artist Aliza Welker. Aliza was a runner-up at this year’s 18th Congressional High School Art Competition. There were 142 entries from 12 schools throughout the 18th District. The entire Peoria Notre Dame community is saddened to learn of the passing of Pat Matarelli yesterday. Our beloved Mrs. Matarelli served as the cafeteria manager for 29 years and continued to be a welcome presence at the school even after her retirement in 2017. As many of our faculty, staff and families plan to attend her funeral services on Monday, PND has decided to cancel school for the day...

Congratulations to our collegiate athletes! Today, these four Seniors signed their athletic letters of intent. Jenna Horst will be playing soccer at St. Ambrose University. Kayley Carew will also be playing soccer at Maryville University. Delaney Cook will be playing basketball at Western New Mexico University. And Joey Mushinsky will be wrestling at University of Mary. Peoria Notre Dame welcomed Mother Amata Veritas, Prioress General of the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist! She enjoyed lunch with PND principal Sister Sara Kowal and other faculty. Afterwards, Mother Amata Veritas visited the classrooms of Sister Catherine Thomas and Sister Agnes Paulina. The students were very welcoming and asked Mother many questions about her vocation.
