Religious Life at PND

Highlighting the Dominican Sisters & Our Chaplain

At Peoria Notre Dame, our Catholic identity is strengthened every day by the presence of the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, as well as our dedicated chaplain. We are truly blessed to have them caring for our spiritual life, teaching, and ministering in our community.

Their Role here at PND
  • The Sisters contribute significantly to our school through teaching and campus ministry. They share not only academic knowledge but also a powerful example of faith lived out. The Sisters have been serving at PND and nearby St. Jude Catholic School since about 2013.

  • Our Chaplain also serves in a similar capacity and also ensures the student access to the sacraments through daily Mass and Adoration and Confession twice a week.

  • All of their involvement goes beyond academics: they support spiritual programs, mentor students, and help build a culture of faith on campus. For example, during Lent, they have accompanied students in a 90-day spiritual journey called Magnify & Exodus.

  • They also help lead retreats and vocation opportunities for students who may be discerning religious life.
